It is pretty well known that fruits and vegetables are a good source of vitamins and minerals ideal for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. However, did you know these can be used to moisturize, hydrate, soften, and exfoliate your skin? Turn your fridge into your new beauty kit and incorporate this daily routine based on fruits and vegetables.
Begin your beauty routine by exfoliating your skin to remove impurities and dead cells. Mix a ripe Avocado from Mexico, 2 tablespoons of oats, and 1 tablespoon of lime juice. Remove with cotton balls drenched in warm water.
To exfoliate your body, mix 1 ripe avocado, ½ cup of brown sugar. Then, add ½ cup of olive oil. Apply in circular motion over damp skin. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then rinse. This could also be done while in the shower.
If you notice your lips are dry, it is time to hydrate and exfoliate. Mix 1 tablespoon of coconut oil with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar until you have an even mix. Gently apply over your lips. Remove any excess.
If you want to moisturize your hair, try this avocado hair mask. Mix 1 ripe avocado and 1 ripe banana. Then add 1 beat egg. Once it is well mixed, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil or coconut oil. Apply on your hair and cover with a shower cap. Let it sit for 30 minutes, rinse and wash your hair as usual.
Take advantage of the fruits and vegetables in your fridge for a natural beauty routine.
